Just wanted to let you
know that I just signed up for bootcamp number 2. So far I have really
enjoyed your class. I am hoping to get into the best shape possible for
my wedding and I think your class is the best option for me. Thank you
for always being so positive and motivating. I will see you on Monday!!

Felt compelled after
church yesterday. The pastor was preaching on giving praise to God in
unlikely situations… not just when something good happens, but in the
small every day times as well. For some reason I thought of you and
just wanted to say thanks for the boot camp opportunity. In the short
amount of time, it has been a true blessing to me. What a cool and
unique service that you are providing. I covet the 60 minutes of time
when I feel like I've conquered the world before anyone else has even
risen from bed! So again, thank you for such a neat opportunity!

Sorry I haven't been in
touch. This has been a very stressful time for me. I have my test,
obviously, but it has also been a rough period for grieving my son. Its
been especially hard with school being back in session and I have no
football games or activities to attend.this year.Your class gives me a
reason to get out of bed in the morning. I have had a few set backs but
I need to get back on track. May I schedule my post eval this week??
Maybe on Wednesday during the day sometime??? Thanks for everything, Joy

Joy, As I sit here sore (so sore), tired (sore), unable to climb steps
(because I am sore) all I want to do is say, Thank You. I have for so
long wanted to start working out. I have talked about it and talked
about it for as long as I can remember. I am now doing it (to the best
of my ability). Did I mention that I am sore? I have had a rough few
months and now I am ready to pick myself up and dust myself off and get
busy. I have a little quote that I say each morning as I rush off to
camp and it is “If this was easy everybody would be doing it.” It is
far from easy (right now) for me but I focus on the part that I am
doing it. I again want to say, Thank You

"Sarge," I just
wanted to let you know, I will be at class tonight. Amber and I
work together and I caught her flu. I was sick all day yesterday
and tried to brave it out at work, but I am getting ready to leave for
the day. Great class last Thursday; it was one of the best
workouts I've ever had and really enjoyed it. See you Wednesday!

The nutritional guidance
is wonderful too. I can honestly say, if I hadn't done the boot camp
myself, I would not have believed it... I don't know how many pounds I
lost, but I do know that in my first boot camp of 4 weeks, 5 days a
week, I went from a size 16 pant to a size 12! I never looked or felt
better! I looked fabulous for the wedding and better yet on New Years
Eve in my size 12 dress! I have become a believer in proper workout and
nutrition. I have continued on to the next session. Following their
advice regarding nutrition and cutting out sugar and white flour, I
found that having even one cookie was too too sweet for me! I don't
miss the sweets! I have not missed out on anything as on my free day I
can have what I want. However, I have learned and now make healthier
choices. I am hooked not only on working out first thing in the
morning, but the camaraderie that has been formed with the other ladies.

The boot camp changed what I do and put into my body.
I eat better and I actually enjoy working out now. The first week of
the boot camp I could barely run 2 laps let alone a mile. Now after 4
weeks of training I can run a mile and a half. I have lost inches,
gained endurance and serious muscle in my arms. My attitude is better
and my husband says I look great. I feel great and look forward to the
next boot camp.

There is my testimonial:
Working out has now become enjoyable due to Joy's innovative,
challenging, motivating, and fun program. The best news is that I now
fit back into my petite size clothes. Thank you Joy!!!!!

Thanks for not giving up
on me and for helping me get a fresh start in health and fitness. This
is a huge battle for me-mostly emotional- and I can begin to overcome
it because of you! May God bless you and give you wisdom for your
future bootcamps.

Committing to Boot camp
started out as a way to "step up" my exercise routine and get myself
out of my boring routine of just running every day. I had noticed that
even though running has been a part of my life since I was a teen, I
was not feeling strong any longer and I was getting injured a lot.
Getting involved with Boot camp has changed all that for me. I am no
longer bored with my routine and I feel so much stronger now while
running and I am no longer getting those dreaded shin splints!!! I have
increased my speed and I have the stamina to get through a long run now
and feel great just like the way I use to feel as a teen while running
cross country. Boot camp has totally made me fall in love with my
running routine all over again. I look forward to my long runs now on
the weekends!!!!!!! The biggest cherry on top for me though is that all
my friends have noticed that I am a lot more tone then I used to be.
Also, I feel great in all of my clothes again!!!!!!!

Hi girls,
It's Kim
and while I would like to believe I am only as old as I feel (that
would be in
the neighborhood of 25-30) I had a rude awakening Monday, as my 45 year
old
calf muscle had other ideas about what I should be doing...in a move
I'd done a
bunch of times-it was the beginning of week three and I was feeling
STRONG (and
in a fitting memorial, I got to do the swings, my FAVORITES!!!) but I
went
down, and I went down hard. So, I guess I would say that sometimes the
spirit
is willing but the flesh is weak.
BUT at 45 I am way more determined than at
25...so I WILL be back, but I will also do my best to heal so it
doesn't happen
again-and if you feel you are truly injured, get checked out and do the
same.
Hate admitting I have weaknesses but would hate it worse if it stopped
me from
my longterm goal of being fit. Worked out today lifting weights, doing
crunches
and staying away from my cranky 45 year old calf muscle...but I DID
work out
and will continue to do so no matter what! Boot camp-translation: JOY-
has
taught me I CAN do it-maybe I am stronger at some moves and weaker at
others
but dammit I'm going to try (and yes Joy I will do 20 pushups for the
bad word,
AND they will be BOY pushups!) Tia and Betsy, you hang in, you hear?
Elizabeth,
I will sweat for you in the meantime...Shante, you got it goin' on, Jo,
Jen
& Michelle, save my spot I'll be back! And Ash, you can DO this,
twins are
way scarier than working out, just ask Elizabeth! And Marnie, we were
GOOD on
that bench, sometimes *&%$ just happens (I can do 20 pushups but
not sure I
can do 40 so I had to bring in substitutes for the dirty word!!) And my
three-day a weeker girlfriends in the van next to me-I am so sorry by
week
three I should have been able to call you by name but I know your cute
cute
faces and you know me as the "mile doubter" (plus I got that old and
forgetful thing going against me) -enjoy-you got it goin' on, girls!!!
I hope
to be back for week four, we'll see what this 40 something can do...In
the
meantime, YOU GO GIRLS!!!!
